Elected Officials from 7 Towns learned the importance of utility management and their responsibilities
The Town of Somerville hosted elected officials and key employees from Atoka, Mumford, LaGrange, Rossville, Grand Junction and Arlington to discuss utilities and how to be fiscally responsible with municipal water systems.
The instructor, John Greer is the Utilities Specialist for the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury and the Technical Secretary to the Utility Management Review Board and the Water and Wastewater Financing Board. John is responsible for preparing and presenting all materials to both Boards and provides assistance to utilities on a variety of technical, managerial and financial issues.
John joined the Comptroller’s Office in 2010 with the Division of Municipal Audit. He began working with the Boards in 2013. John has also served as part of the Comptroller’s Legislative Team and continues to provide utility-related assistance to legislators.
